Christmas Tree Lot Owners To Donate All Their Proceeds

The owners of a Greenville Christmas tree lot are donating all of the proceeds from their sales to charity. Wink McLeod, who opened Giving Tree Lot at 420 Mills Avenue on Black Friday, is doing this in memory of her sister.

“100 percent of the proceeds will be given to charity,” McLeod said. “Everyone you see on the lot are volunteers.” The proceeds will be split between local and international organizations, including Maggie’s School in Kenya, a childhood cancer charity and the Dream Center.

Maggie’s School was named in honor of Mcleod’s daughter who died in a car accident in 2005.

McLeod plan to make the Christmas tree drive an annual event.

The cost to help one child at Maggie’s School is $50 per month. We have two ways for you to help support the education of the children of Maggie’s School. All donations are tax-deductable.
